Backend Developer

About the role

Vitalograph is seeking a Backend Developer to join its Digital Health Platform team. Reporting to the CTO and working closely with the VP of Digital Health Technology, you will design, build and maintain backend services that power web and mobile applications used in respiratory diagnostics.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain backend services for a complete digital health system.
• Design and implement server‑side logic, APIs (RESTful or GraphQL) and database structures.
• Create, manage and optimise SQL Server databases ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Build standalone, plug‑and‑play backend components and real‑time services using C#.NET, Java, Python and Node.
• Collaborate with front‑end, mobile, hardware and product teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Debug, troubleshoot and tune performance of backend services.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure compliance with Vitalograph SOPs.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree.
• At least 3 years of experience as a backend developer.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to debug complex issues.
• Proficiency with version control (git) and code‑review tools.
