Backend Platform Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Platform Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering group. In this hands‑on role you will design, build and continuously improve the foundational platforms, tooling and automation that enable our product engineering teams to deliver software efficiently, securely and at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable platform services, reusable frameworks and infrastructure components.
• Build and operate cloud‑native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Bicep.
• Implement secure, reliable systems following SecOps and DevOps best practices.
• Enhance observability through metrics, logging and tracing to improve system reliability.
• Create internal tools, automation and workflows that boost engineering productivity and developer experience.
• Collaborate on platform architecture, technology selection and long‑term roadmap.

Required profile

• Strong motivation to work across multiple domains including cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, developer experience, automation, container orchestration, event streaming and observability.
• Hands‑on engineering mindset with a focus on building reusable, scalable platform capabilities.
• Ability to partner with product engineering teams to remove friction and standardise best practices.
