Backend Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Backend Software Engineer to join our growing development team in Dublin. The role focuses on designing and implementing high‑performance Java services, leveraging modern cloud and event‑driven technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Java‑based microservices using Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs that meet scalability and reliability requirements.
• Integrate event‑driven components with Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to adopt AI/ML and Generative AI features.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and agile ceremonies.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on software development experience.
• Strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API design.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures, preferably Kafka.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment and using Git for version control.
