Bottling Operative

About the role

West Cork Distillers is seeking motivated Bottling Operatives to join its large bottling team in Skibbereen. You will be responsible for ensuring that our premium spirits are labelled, packed and prepared for export to over 70 countries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Label and pack products, building pallets in the correct configuration for transport stability.
• Follow all bottling procedures from production start to dispatch, including wrapping pallets and placing dust caps.
• Complete and maintain bottle records, end‑of‑line checks and finished‑pallet documentation.
• Ensure compliance with food‑safety, quality, production and legal standards at all times.
• Maintain high housekeeping and hygiene standards; keep the plant audit‑ready.
• Monitor condition of bottles, labels and packaging, reporting any issues to Quality Control.
• Adhere to traceability guidelines and forklift/pallet‑truck safety procedures.
• Provide flexible support for additional duties as business needs arise.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following documented procedures.
• Willingness to maintain a clean, safe and audit‑ready work environment.
• Ability to work reliably within a shift‑based production team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing production demands.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• Pallet‑truck operation.
• Basic knowledge of food‑safety and quality standards.
• Accurate record‑keeping.
