Business Development Manager – Field Based (Ireland)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business across Ireland for a leading European distributor of data cabling and network infrastructure solutions. This field‑based role involves three days a week on the road meeting electrical contractors, consultants and partners, with the remainder based in our Dublin office.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout Ireland.
• Build and maintain relationships with electrical contractors, consultants and distribution partners.
• Promote and support the specification of key data‑cabling and network‑infrastructure product lines.
• Drive sales growth in commercial, industrial and data‑centre sectors.
• Contribute to commercial strategy and market expansion initiatives.
• Track pipeline and activity using CRM systems.
• Provide market insights and regular reporting to the Sales Director.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of experience in electrical, data networking or technical sales.
• Proven track record in business development or external sales.
• Strong knowledge of the Irish electrical contractor market.
• Experience working with channel‑sales or distribution models.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Full, valid driving licence.

What we offer

• Competitive base salary €60,000‑€70,000 per year.
