Business Development Manager

About the role

This internal Business Development Manager position sits at the heart of a growing professional services firm. You will act as the commercial engine for senior partners and directors, translating growth strategies into actionable initiatives and ensuring business development stays front‑and‑centre across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior stakeholders to drive sales and industry growth initiatives across two key industry groups.
• Coordinate all business development activity, ensuring actions are followed through and opportunities are progressed.
• Identify and facilitate cross‑selling opportunities across service lines and business units.
• Support rollout and adoption of a new CRM platform, driving engagement and best practice.
• Translate CRM data into commercial insights, including revenue performance, pipeline health and growth opportunities.
• Enforce discipline around pipeline management and opportunity tracking.
• Produce reports, dashboards and recommendations for leadership decision‑making.
• Coordinate strategic bids and proposals, providing governance and best practice.
• Assist client engagement initiatives, events and relationship‑building programmes in partnership with marketing.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the UK organisation to share best practice and support larger growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Experience supporting business development or growth initiatives within a complex professional services environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior leaders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and bring people together around common objectives.
• Background in sales enablement, partnerships, marketing, commercial operations or account management.
