Business Development Manager – Solar & Renewable Energy

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead commercial activity for solar and renewable energy projects across Leinster and nationwide in Ireland. The role is field‑based with full autonomy to manage your own territory and schedule, focusing on large‑scale commercial, industrial and utility projects.
Key responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities (≈60% of activity) and develop existing client relationships.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and proposal development to negotiation and contract closure.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, operations and project delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Target an annual revenue of approximately €3 million, handling complex, long‑cycle deals with senior stakeholders.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of commercial, industrial and utility‑scale renewable energy projects.
Required profile
- Proven track record in business development within renewable energy, solar, or related technical energy sales.
- Experience winning and managing large‑value, complex deals.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to engage senior‑level stakeholders.
- Self‑motivated, energetic and comfortable working independently.
- Well‑presented with a proactive attitude.

- Base salary €80,000‑€90,000 (DOE) plus OTE €10,000‑€20,000.
