Buyer Planner (Onsite)

About the role

The Buyer Planner will be based onsite in County Mayo, working closely with both internal customer teams and external suppliers to ensure optimal purchasing performance and stock availability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with on‑site customers, head‑office colleagues and suppliers.
• Manage the full order cycle, ensuring timely delivery and follow‑up of shipments.
• Monitor deliveries, address past‑due shipments and analyse product performance statistics.
• Adjust forecast calculations and place orders to maintain optimal on‑site stock levels.
• Negotiate and organise stock cleanses, focus on problem stock and achieve aged‑stock reduction targets.
• Coordinate franchise and promotional activities.
• Collect and analyse supplier performance and market intelligence for negotiations.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in a purchasing‑related subject.
• Several years of experience in a purchasing role.
• Ability to complete training and site training ahead of schedule.
• Proactive handling of urgent requests and clear communication with stakeholders.
• Attendance at meetings with customer stakeholders, procurement, finance and other functions.
