Canteen Assistant – Part‑time (20 hrs/week)

About the role

Dawn Farms is looking for a motivated Canteen Assistant to join its Naas facility on a part‑time basis. You will work 20 hours per week, Monday‑Friday day shift, supporting food preparation and service in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble food items according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of all food preparation areas.
• Serve customers promptly and ensure counters are tidy and stocked throughout service.
• Follow HACCP procedures and complete daily cleaning and food‑safety records.
• Assist with any additional duties outside the core scope as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Catering or Canteen Assistant (or similar).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic, hands‑on attitude and customer‑service focus.
• Good oral and written English communication.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles (Level 2 desirable).
• Understanding of food‑safety control measures.
