Childcare Practitioner – Early Years Educator (30 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Early Years Educators (or Room Leaders) to join a well‑established centre in Finglas, Dublin. The role is 30 hours per week on a consistent daytime shift, caring for children aged 2‑5 and delivering a curriculum inspired by children’s interests and the Aistear framework.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily activities that promote independence, early literacy, numeracy and fine‑motor skills.
• Use a wide range of educational resources – puzzles, arts & crafts, construction play, sand & water, role‑play and musical instruments.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment and support children’s social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth transitions and preparation for primary school.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Care & Education.
• Experience working in an early years setting.
• Strong understanding of the Aistear curriculum.
• For Room Leader positions: prior experience in Ireland and residence nearby.
