Class 1 Driver – Day Shifts

About the role

Join DFDS as a Class 1 Driver working day shifts, transporting chilled, produce and ambient goods across Europe. You will be part of a modern fleet, delivering to a variety of customer premises while upholding safety and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain customer signatures on all delivery notes.
• Comply with all road transport regulations and European Drivers’ Hours rules.
• Deliver chilled, produce and ambient goods to customer sites.
• Accurately record activities to meet legal and company requirements.
• Secure all loads safely and appropriately.
• Work within the Working Time Directive and company policies.

Required profile

• Full HGV Class 1 licence.
• Valid tachograph (Tacho) card.
• Current CPC qualification.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Professional attitude with excellent customer service focus.

Required skills

• Ability to operate heavy goods vehicles safely.
• Knowledge of European Drivers’ Hours regulations.
• Proficiency in completing delivery documentation.
