Clinical Apps Support Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Clinical Apps Support Specialist to join Affidea Group’s IT team. The role will provide day‑to‑day support, maintenance and continuous improvement of clinical applications across our Ireland and UK sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for clinical applications including RIS, PACS, EHR and TMS.
• Log, categorise, prioritise and resolve incidents and service requests following SOPs and ITSM processes.
• Perform technical triage, troubleshooting and, when necessary, escalation to specialist teams or vendors.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate issue escalation.
• Support imaging transfer applications between Affidea and external healthcare providers.
• Maintain user accounts and process starter, mover and leaver requests for clinical systems.
• Develop and update end‑user guides, training material and knowledge‑base documentation.
• Participate in a rotational extended‑hours support schedule.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and customer‑focused attitude.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with end users, internal teams and external vendors.
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of incidents.

Required skills

• Experience with Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Experience with Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
• Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms.
• Experience with Theatre Management Systems (TMS).
