Colleague Manager

About the role

As a Colleague Manager at M&S in Newbridge, you will lead a retail team, own the full employee experience and drive store performance. You will act as a role model, inspire your colleagues and ensure a safe, legal, and customer‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take full accountability for the end‑to‑end experience of direct reports, including hiring, onboarding, performance management and development.
• Mentor and develop team members, celebrate successes and address performance issues promptly.
• Collaborate with store leadership to achieve shared sales and operational objectives.
• Implement launches, events and campaigns flawlessly, ensuring first‑time right execution.
• Support Shift Leads and Sales Advisors to maintain smooth store operations without performing operational tasks yourself.
• Drive accurate execution of processes, guidelines and compliance learning across the team.
• Monitor and act on customer feedback, empowering the team to deliver exceptional service.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading retail or customer‑facing teams.
• Strong ability to coach, develop talent and manage performance.
• Excellent communication skills and a flexible mindset to adapt to evolving business priorities.
• Commitment to health, safety and legal standards in a store environment.
