Commercial Manager – Mission-Critical Construction

About the role

Join a leading contractor delivering high‑value, mission‑critical infrastructure projects across Ireland. Reporting to the Commercial Director (Ireland/UK), you will own the commercial performance of multiple projects worth up to €100 million, lead a team of Quantity Surveyors and ensure profitable, contract‑compliant delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Administer contracts under NEC, PWC, RIAI and FIDIC frameworks and protect contractual entitlements.
• Prepare monthly CVRs, forecasts, cost reports, valuations and manage cash flow.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities and drive commercial improvements.
• Develop procurement strategies, evaluate subcontractor tenders and present recommendations.
• Act as the primary commercial liaison with clients, consultants and design teams.
• Recruit, mentor and review performance of Quantity Surveyors.

Required profile

• Degree in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a Tier 1 contractor or as a Commercial Manager.
• Proven delivery of large‑scale construction projects up to €100 million.
• Working towards or holding MSCSI/MRICS chartership is a plus.
