Commis Chef

About the role

We are opening a new restaurant in Kildare Village and are looking for an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. This is an ideal position for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, busy environment and wants to develop their culinary skills under the guidance of an experienced head chef.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the head chef with daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Monitor and enforce HACCP procedures and hygiene standards.
• Maintain the quality and presentation of menu items.
• Work efficiently under pressure while delivering consistent service.
• Support stock control and basic kitchen organization.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in a busy kitchen environment.
• Good command of the English language and strong communication skills.
• Ability to multi‑task and remain calm in a fast‑moving setting.
• Commitment to delivering high standards of customer service.

Required skills

• Food hygiene knowledge.
• HACCP certification or practical understanding.
