Consultant Physician – Geriatric Medicine (2 positions)

About the role

The Health Service Executive (HSE) is recruiting two Consultant Physicians in Geriatric Medicine for Letterkenny University Hospital. The posts are permanent, whole‑time positions working a 37‑hour week. The role is open to both HSE employees and external candidates and will serve the HSE West and North West health region, which includes Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Mayo and Galway. Successful candidates will provide specialist geriatric care to older adults, support the multidisciplinary team and help maintain the high standards of clinical service expected by the hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver specialist geriatric medicine services to patients at Letterkenny University Hospital.
• Work within the HSE West and North West health region, covering Donegal and neighbouring counties.
• Provide clinical leadership for the geriatric medicine team.

Required profile

• Qualified consultant physician with expertise in geriatric medicine.
• Eligible to practice medicine in Ireland.
