Cost Manager – Dublin (Construction Consultancy)

About the role

We are seeking ambitious Cost Managers to join a global construction consultancy’s Dublin office. The role involves leading the delivery of commissioned projects across commercial, data‑centre, healthcare and education sectors, with a minimum on‑site presence of three days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of commissions and progressively manage entire client engagements.
• Develop and enhance service delivery methodology, tools and systems.
• Conduct background research, data collection and benchmarking for cost estimates.
• Prepare cost estimates, cost plans, detailed bills of quantities and measurement of construction.
• Compile and amend tender lists, draft procurement documentation and tender reports.
• Check, analyse and negotiate tenders, including financially significant or complex matters.
• Manage variations, change control processes and conduct cost checks.
• Perform interim valuations, draft monthly reports and analyse final accounts.
• Produce written reports for clients and support construction dispute resolution.
• Maintain internal quality controls and allocate resources efficiently to sustain a motivated QS team.

Required profile

• Intermediate to senior level Cost Manager with experience in construction consultancy.
• Proven ability to lead commissions and manage client relationships.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills for cost estimating and valuation.
• Experience in tender preparation, procurement documentation and dispute resolution.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Dublin at least three days per week.
