Crane Supervisor – Mining Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Crane Supervisor to join the Simberi Operations of Simberi Gold Company Limited in Papua New Guinea. The role is permanent, full‑time and works on a 21/14 roster supporting the open‑cut mine’s processing plant.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily crane operations and ensure safe, efficient performance.
• Conduct scheduled inspections, diagnose faults and carry out repairs on all cranes.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate job, service and compliance reports and submit them on time.
• Provide on‑call support for breakdowns, including night‑shift assistance.
• Escalate critical issues promptly to the Maintenance Superintendent.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the maintenance management system to reduce downtime and cost.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising crane maintenance in a mining or heavy‑industry environment.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environment and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to after‑hours call‑outs.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage resources effectively.
