About the role
The Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Officer will join a growing compliance team supporting both digital and retail customers. Reporting to the Senior CDD Officer, you will work closely with AML, Safer Gambling, Customer Service and other stakeholders to ensure regulatory obligations are met and responsible gambling is embedded in daily operations.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct Customer Due Diligence, Enhanced Due Diligence and risk profiling for digital and retail customers.
- Integrate Safer Gambling considerations into CDD processes and monitor customer activity for responsible play.
- Review customer spend against income documentation to assess affordability.
- Maintain and update CDD records, logs and reporting for audit readiness.
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and prepare required reports.
- Deliver education and training on CDD, AML and Safer Gambling to staff.
- Act as first point of contact for staff and external authorities on CDD matters, investigating queries and determining appropriate actions.
- Support general compliance enquiries and perform ad‑hoc tasks and regular reporting.
Required profile
- Previous experience within the betting or gaming industry.
- Strong interest and aptitude for due diligence, risk assessment and Safer Gambling.
- Ability to identify, analyse and escalate risks promptly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.
