Customer Service Assistant – Retail (Clontarf)

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our retail shop in Clontarf. You will deliver a friendly, knowledgeable experience to customers, support the Shop Manager in daily operations, and handle betting transactions across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with day‑to‑day shop operations.
• Open and close the shop, ensuring all procedures are followed.
• Manage cash, process bets and payments using betting terminals and the EPOS system.
• Act as a brand ambassador, introducing customers to in‑shop and online offerings.
• Maintain high presentation standards and adhere to safety, compliance and social responsibility policies.
• Step in to lead the team in the absence of senior managers.

Required profile

• Customer‑service oriented with a trustworthy and flexible attitude (shop operates 7 days a week).
• Strong attention to detail, numeracy and reliability.
• Enthusiastic people‑person with a keen interest in sport and betting.
• Ambitious, results‑focused and eager to progress within the company.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Cash handling and reconciliation.
• Operation of EPOS systems and betting terminals.
• Basic computer literacy for multi‑channel transaction processing.
