Customer Service Assistant – Retail

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our retail shop in Adare. You will deliver friendly, knowledgeable service to customers while supporting the Shop Manager in daily operations and ensuring the shop runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with day‑to‑day shop activities.
• Open and close the shop, including cash management and security procedures.
• Take and process customer bets via betting terminals and the EPOS system.
• Maintain high presentation standards and ensure compliance with safety and responsible gambling policies.
• Act as a brand ambassador, introducing customers to in‑shop and online betting products.
• Step in to manage the team and shop operations when senior managers are absent.

Required profile

• Customer‑service oriented with a trustworthy and integrity‑driven attitude.
• Flexible to work a 7‑day schedule and adapt to a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Strong attention to detail, numeracy and reliable cash‑handling skills.
• Enthusiastic, good communicator and able to build rapport with sports‑betting customers.
• Ambitious to develop within the company and promote the brand.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EPOS systems.
