Customer Service Assistant – Retail Shop

About the role

You will join a busy retail shop in Mullingar, delivering friendly and knowledgeable service to customers. The position involves supporting the Shop Manager, handling bets, and ensuring the store runs smoothly each day.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager with daily store operations.
• Open and close the shop, including cash management and security procedures.
• Accept and process customer bets via betting terminals and the EPOS system.
• Maintain high presentation standards and ensure compliance with safety and responsible gambling policies.
• Act as a brand ambassador, introducing customers to in‑shop and online offerings.

Required profile

• Customer‑service focused with a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail, especially when handling cash.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Interest in sports and betting, with a desire to build rapport with customers.
• Reliability, organization, and a willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Experience with EPOS (electronic point‑of‑sale) systems.
