Cyber Defence Analyst – Remote (EU locations)

About the role

As a Mandiant Strategic Security Consultant you will lead and support client projects that assess, test, and build security programmes. You will work with start‑ups to large enterprises, providing guidance on best practices and risk management across cyber‑defence domains.

Key responsibilities

• Identify challenges in customer cyber‑defence centres, design improvement strategies and oversee implementation.
• Perform real‑time analysis using SIEM, endpoint and network technologies to detect security events and filter false positives.
• Advise on CDC, CSIRT and SOC management activities.
• Research and apply cyber‑intelligence, attacker techniques and remediation methods to enhance SOC detection and response.
• Engage and collaborate with client stakeholders to drive resolution of security issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years experience developing and assessing cybersecurity solutions.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a SOC analyst, malware researcher or threat hunter working with EDR and SIEM tools.
• Fluent French communication skills for client‑facing interactions.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with EDR and SIEM platforms.
• Scripting proficiency in PowerShell and Python.
• Knowledge of security controls for operating systems, Linux and network equipment.
