Cybersecurity Engineer 2 – Customer-Facing Role

About the role

Arctic Wolf is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer 2 to join its Cork team. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers reporting security incidents, collaborating with senior engineers to deliver real‑world solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with senior cybersecurity engineers on client projects.
• Serve as the customer liaison for SOC‑reported incidents and analyse structural weaknesses.
• Produce technical reports and documentation supporting customer environments.
• Troubleshoot security and technical issues with guidance from the team.
• Share basic security best practices with non‑technical stakeholders.
• Build professional, trust‑based relationships with customers.
• Analyze logs and events to identify patterns or potential threats.
• Continuously develop skills through mentoring and hands‑on experience.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in cybersecurity or related IT fields.
• Familiarity with network security, cloud infrastructure, SaaS tools, and identity management.
• Exposure to risk and vulnerability management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Analytical mindset with a structured problem‑solving approach.
• Team‑oriented and eager to grow professionally.

Required skills

• Networking basics: TCP/IP, subnetting, common protocols.
• Operating system hardening: Windows, Linux, Unix.
• Security tools: firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS.
• Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Vulnerability assessment tools: Nmap, Nessus, OpenVAS.
• Incident response fundamentals.
• Security frameworks: MITRE ATT&CK, NIST.
