Data Analyst (3-month contract)

About the role

eir business talent is seeking a Data Analyst on a 3‑month contract to support data migration initiatives. The role is based in Dublin and follows a hybrid working model with two days on‑site each week.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain source‑to‑target data mappings for all in‑scope data objects.
• Analyse legacy system structures, identify data quality issues and document gaps.
• Gather and document target system requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop mapping workbooks, including direct field mappings, transformations, business rules, look‑ups and calculated fields.
• Facilitate workshops with SMEs, vendors and technical teams to validate mapping decisions.
• Maintain version control, change management and ensure mappings are testable, auditable and signed off.
• Provide input to ETL design, migration build and testing planning.

Required profile

• Strong data analysis and profiling abilities.
• Experience with data mapping, migration or ETL projects.
• Understanding of relational databases and data structures.
• Attention to detail and ability to translate business requirements into technical rules.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (mapping workbooks, lookup tables, data reconciliation).
• Familiarity with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend or SSIS.
• Data mapping and migration techniques.
• Data quality assessment and cleansing methods.
• Relational database concepts.
