Data Analyst – Insurance Industry Insights

About the role

This position focuses on analysing and delivering insightful management information to support strategic objectives within the insurance sector. You will work closely with business stakeholders to design, implement and maintain reporting solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Research, develop, implement and integrate new reporting systems and applications.
• Create and present intranet‑based MI dashboards for relevant stakeholders.
• Use data‑warehouse capabilities to interrogate data and develop new data solutions.
• Assist in the development, testing and implementation of ETL procedures.
• Develop and present tactical and strategic insights to management.
• Support the development, maintenance and testing of predictive models.
• Provide recommendations to senior management based on model outputs.
• Assess processes for automation and improvement opportunities.
• Liaise with cross‑functional teams to create common solutions.

Required profile

• Degree in Maths, Statistics, Physics, Actuarial Science or related field, or 3 + years relevant experience.
• Experience with data analytics, data modelling, big data, data visualisation and data warehousing.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience using programming languages such as SQL, VB, R or SAS.
• Familiarity with analytical tools like Matlab, Python and regression modelling.
• Knowledge of insurance business processes is advantageous.
