Data Center Infrastructure Server Operations Specialist

About the role

The ByteDance Server Operations Team is looking for a Data Center Infrastructure Server Operations Specialist to ensure the stability and reliability of our server fleet in China. You will play a key part in managing the full lifecycle of server operations, from introduction of new hardware to ongoing stability assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement stability processes, platform systems, and assurance mechanisms for online servers.
• Monitor server health, identify risks, respond to incidents, and drive resolution.
• Handle server‑related stability incidents, including fault diagnosis, impact mitigation, and post‑incident reviews.
• Identify and govern server stability risks across quality, processes, and platforms.
• Monitor alerts, manage front‑line BPO duty staff, and produce weekly duty reports.
• Develop rapid recovery, drill capabilities, GUI‑based change operations, and major event support.
• Contribute to process specifications, align service SLOs with business teams, and improve monitoring and alert quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronic Information Engineering, Automation or a related field.
• Strong communication, coordination, critical thinking, and documentation skills.
• High sense of responsibility, attention to detail, collaborative mindset, and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
