Data Center Technician – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Data Center Technician to join a leading technology client’s operations team in North Dublin. You will be the primary technical resolver for the support team, diagnosing and fixing hardware infrastructure issues while ensuring smooth data‑center operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot server, storage and networking hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and infrastructure problems.
• Perform system health checks and preventative maintenance.
• Support structured cabling, including copper and fiber‑optic connections.
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist with asset management.
• Act as the first escalation point for junior technicians and provide technical guidance.
• Support remote system administration and automate routine tasks where appropriate.
• Execute small technical projects independently and contribute to larger initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with data‑center safety, security and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience supporting server, storage and networking hardware.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Understanding of data‑center infrastructure such as power, cooling and rack systems.
• Experience with structured cabling, patch panels and fiber‑optic connectivity.
• Basic to intermediate Linux and/or Windows system administration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a physically demanding environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

What we offer

• €32,000 per annum (pro‑rated for the 6‑month contract)
