Data Center Technician

About the role

This position offers the chance to work in Amazon’s cutting‑edge data centers, supporting the infrastructure that powers cloud services across the region. As a Data Center Technician you will join the Operations team, handling hardware and network issues on a 24/7 shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve trouble tickets while meeting SLA targets.
• Provide first‑line hardware troubleshooting and technical support.
• Perform regular server hardware repairs, including drives and motherboards.
• Carry out routine network, server hardware and operating‑system repairs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and Smart Hands at EU POPs.
• Follow security and safety best practices within the data center.
• Participate in power and cooling events and team metric meetings.
• Document procedures and suggest process improvements.
• Execute server upgrades, rebuilds and scheduled maintenance.
• Interact with third‑party vendors and contractors.
• Support the development of fellow team members.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware.
• Experience with networking concepts.
• Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
