Data Engineer – ETL & Cloud Solutions

About the role

Join one of Ireland's fastest‑growing Data & AI consultancies as a Data Engineer. You will design and deliver modern ETL pipelines and data warehouse solutions for a variety of clients, working with cutting‑edge cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable ETL pipelines and data warehouse architectures.
• Implement solutions using Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Write optimized SQL queries and Python code for data transformation and automation.
• Collaborate directly with clients to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Apply data‑warehousing best practices such as dimensional modelling, data quality, and metadata management.
• Stay current on emerging technologies, including AI and large language models.
• Mentor junior team members and lead project components from design through deployment.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Analytics.
• Proven experience with at least one cloud platform (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Strong SQL skills and solid Python programming for data tasks.
• Hands‑on ETL development in a production environment.
• Understanding of data‑warehousing concepts (dimensional modelling, OLAP, star schemas).
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
