Data Scientist

About the role

Primark is looking for a Data Scientist to join its Data Science & Measurement team. You will work with a collaborative group of data professionals to develop advanced analytics, experimentation, and machine‑learning solutions that drive commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver predictive models, forecasting, segmentation, optimisation and measurement solutions.
• Build, transform and analyse large datasets using Python, SQL and Databricks.
• Develop, evaluate and monitor machine‑learning and statistical models, ensuring robust feature engineering and validation.
• Support A/B testing initiatives, define hypotheses and quantify commercial impact.
• Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for business stakeholders.
• Partner with data engineers and analytics teams to productionise solutions and improve scalability.
• Contribute reusable analytical assets, coding standards and automation opportunities.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience applying data‑science, machine‑learning and statistical techniques to real‑world business problems.
• Commercially minded with the ability to turn complex analysis into actionable insights.
• Experience working closely with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.
