Database Systems Administrator (Oracle & Oracle EBS) – 2‑Year Contract

About the role

This 2‑year contract position supports critical Oracle database platforms for a large enterprise in Dublin. You will work in a hybrid model, spending most of your time remotely with occasional on‑site collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade and maintain Oracle databases across development, test and production environments.
• Perform routine DBA tasks such as backups, recovery, patching, security management and performance monitoring.
• Administer Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to track health, alerts and automate routine tasks.
• Manage Oracle DataGuard environments, including switchover, failover and disaster‑recovery testing.
• Analyse AWR and ADDM reports to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Provide technical support for Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS) 12.2.x, including patching, upgrades, cloning and environment management.
• Troubleshoot Oracle EBS and WebLogic application server issues in collaboration with functional and technical teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in enterprise settings.
• Strong background in Oracle installation, configuration, upgrades and maintenance.
• Hands‑on experience with OEM administration and performance monitoring.
• Proven ability to manage DataGuard, perform switchover/failover and ensure high availability.
• Experience supporting Oracle EBS 12.2.x environments.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑team collaboration.
