Deputy Person in Charge – Social Care Centre

About the role

Nua Healthcare Services, a private healthcare provider in Ireland specialising in residential and supported living services for children and adults with complex support needs, is looking for a Deputy Person in Charge. The role suits experienced candidates with strong organisation and management skills and supports the execution and delivery of the centre's duties every day in line with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Keep Personal Plans up to date and make sure services are delivered to the highest possible quality and safety standards.
• Provide the highest quality of care and support to individuals.
• Support the Person in Charge, manage team members and coordinate input from the clinical team and other departmental supports.
• Provide daily mentorship and leadership; formal supervisions, appraisals and monthly team meetings are overseen by the Person in Charge.
• Oversee the service across shifts to ensure effective and efficient delivery.
• Follow the local safety statement (risk assessments and standard operating procedures), company policies and procedures, and infection control standards.

Required profile

• Level 7/8 degree in Social Care, Healthcare or a related discipline, or a suitable equivalent with a management qualification in Healthcare.
• 3 years of management experience in a similar social care setting.
• Full clean driver's licence.

• Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and IT skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible team and to make critical decisions and recommendations.
