Design Coordinator

About the role

John Paul Construction is seeking a Design Coordinator to join our Dublin team. You will act as a bridge between the site team, architects, engineers and utility providers, ensuring design information is accurately coordinated and delivered on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the setting‑out of projects, coordinating architectural and engineering information.
• Co‑ordinate utilities and services between mechanical, electrical engineers and utility providers.
• Prepare and maintain the schedule of information requirements and forward updates to architects/engineers.
• Oversee the technical submittal process, tracking status against the contract programme.
• Maintain a procurement tracking schedule based on approved submittals and cost approvals.
• Promptly address and record all contract queries.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in design management on commercial, residential, data‑centre or industrial projects.
• Relevant third‑level qualification in Engineering or Architecture.
• Previous experience with a main contractor is desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational and planning abilities.
• Ability to self‑manage, prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.
