Design Engineer – Medical Devices

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Design Engineer to join our R&D team in the medical device sector. You will play a key part in creating innovative products, from concept through prototype to production, while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and development of new medical devices, adhering to ISO 13485 and other regulatory standards.
• Conduct product and process evaluations, maintaining comprehensive documentation.
• Select raw materials, components, and suppliers to optimise performance and cost.
• Create and test prototypes in close collaboration with project managers and customers.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Support cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving project requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in medical device design or a similarly regulated industry.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 13485 regulatory framework.
