DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Kubernetes (Dublin/Belfast/Malta)

About the role
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a fast‑growing engineering team operating across Dublin, Belfast and Malta. You will help modernise our cloud platform, drive Kubernetes adoption and ensure the infrastructure remains secure, scalable and cost‑effective.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain Kubernetes (EKS) platforms on AWS.
- Support and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Harness.io.
- Implement and manage observability tooling with Datadog.
- Enhance and support AWS cloud infrastructure, including ECS workloads.
- Review, optimise and document deployment and operational processes.
- Ensure change‑management aligns with security and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with development teams to enable self‑service platform capabilities.
- Support incident response and platform reliability initiatives.
- Analyse and optimise cloud infrastructure costs.
Required profile
- 3+ years in a senior DevOps or Platform Engineering role.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, especially AWS EKS.
- Experience with AWS services (compute, databases, security) and ECS.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Hands‑on experience with observability tools, preferably Datadog.
- Solid scripting skills in Python and/or Bash.
- Good understanding of container security best practices.
- Background in regulated or security‑focused environments.
- Excellent communication and ability to manage multiple priorities.
