DevOps Expert

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Expert to design, implement, and enhance deployment automation for our client in Dublin. The role focuses on building a robust Chef‑based release pipeline and improving CI/CD processes across multiple environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Chef recipes and cookbooks to automate deployments.
• Design and implement end‑to‑end CI/CD workflows using Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, and Artifactory.
• Create and manage Bash and Python scripts for automation tasks in Linux/Unix environments.
• Support code promotion across development, test, and production environments, emphasizing minimal manual effort.
• Implement Git‑based code management strategies, including branch automation and version control.
• Monitor system health, availability, and latency, and drive continuous improvement for reliability and velocity.
• Participate in incident response, post‑mortems, and provide feedback to development teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Chef, CI/CD tools, and automation scripting.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix administration.
• Ability to design scalable, automated deployment pipelines.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland (Stamp 1G, Stamp 4, or appropriate passport).
