Digital Design Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Digital Design Architect to join a leading global technology company that ships billions of chips worldwide. The position offers hybrid working and can be based in Cork, Dublin or Galway. You will lead the creation of complex IP blocks such as UCIe, Ethernet, and PCIe from micro‑architecture definition through RTL development to IP sign‑off.

Key responsibilities

• Define and develop micro‑architecture for high‑performance IP blocks.
• Write and verify RTL code in Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Supervise and mentor a team of engineers throughout the design cycle.
• Collaborate with customers, product managers and senior leadership.
• Ensure IP meets quality and release criteria for general availability.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in digital IC design and IP‑level micro‑architecture.
• Proven technical leadership in a semiconductor or high‑tech environment.
• Strong background in System‑on‑Chip (SoC) architecture.
• Ability to engage with tier‑one global customers and internal stakeholders.
