Dispensing Optician Manager – Cork

About the role

Join a well‑established independent opticians group in Cork as a Dispensing Optician Manager. You will lead a friendly, patient‑first team in a practice that values longer appointments, advanced technology and high‑quality eye care.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the Cork practice, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent patient experience.
• Create and maintain a professional, supportive, and enjoyable working environment for the dispensing and support teams.
• Train, mentor and develop staff, fostering continuous professional growth.
• Handle complex dispensing queries and patient concerns with confidence and accuracy.
• Manage inventory of high‑end frames and coordinate with suppliers such as Lindberg, Tiffany and Maui Jim.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Dispensing Optician, CORU registered or eligible for registration.
• Strong interest in fashion, eyewear brands and premium dispensing.
• Excellent communication and patient‑care skills.
• Leadership style that is collaborative and supportive.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Zeiss clinical equipment.
