Duty Manager – Full Time

About the role

The Metropole Hotel is seeking a full‑time Duty Manager to ensure smooth hotel operations, uphold brand standards, and maximise guest satisfaction. Reporting to the Deputy General Manager/General Manager, you will be the operational leader on shift, visible throughout the property.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the highest health, safety and security standards across all areas while on shift.
• Liaise daily with Heads of Departments to confirm staffing levels and operational standards.
• Oversee service delivery in F&B outlets, accommodation, and front office during your shift.
• Patrol the building, keep fire exits clear, and lead the team in fire‑alarm or pre‑alarm situations.
• Conduct show rounds, ensure cleanliness, and verify goods and purchases are properly documented.
• Update signage, monitor lobby presence during peak check‑in/out times, and respond to guest feedback and complaints.
• Participate in creating and reviewing management strategies and brand initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel operations or a similar hospitality environment.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and security procedures.
• Ability to lead and motivate staff, especially during high‑traffic periods.
• Excellent communication skills and a guest‑focused attitude.
