Duty Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Duty Manager to lead our hotel operations during early or late shifts at Gleneagle, Killarney. The role ensures all areas are ready, welcoming, and running smoothly while supporting the wider management team.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the hotel during assigned shifts, ensuring all facilities are opened, set up, and guest‑ready.
• Support all departments, especially Food & Beverage, during high‑demand periods.
• Handle a wide range of guest enquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Conduct daily security walks, compile shift reports and hand‑over documentation.
• Participate actively in management meetings and assist wherever needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a hospitality or retail management role.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Team‑player mindset with a focus on exceeding guest expectations.
• Interest in learning, development and adapting to a fast‑paced environment.

• Basic knowledge of health, safety and security procedures.
