Electrical Package Manager – Expat Role in Madrid

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Package Manager to lead the electrical systems package on a large engineering project in Madrid. The role combines package management, site safety oversight, quality assurance and cost control, reporting to the site project manager and client stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full electrical systems package, including sub‑contractor coordination, material deliveries and plant equipment.
• Oversee site safety in partnership with the Electrical Project Manager and client Safety Advisor, maintaining the safety file from set‑up to close‑out.
• Drive a strong Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental culture and manage the QA file together with the client QA Manager.
• Control the project schedule, costs and variations for the electrical package, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
• Monitor day‑to‑day site operations, track progress against the schedule, and hold weekly meetings with sub‑contractors.
• Manage the client “In Progress” snagging system, distribute punch‑list items and ensure timely resolution.
• Prepare internal and external weekly progress reports, highlighting percentage complete, delays and design issues.
• Coordinate material deliveries to match the project timeline and oversee final close‑out activities such as O&M manuals, final accounts and safety/QA files.

Required profile

• Trade or relevant third‑level qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience on large installation projects.
• Proven track record coordinating electrical and mechanical installations.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and design‑build processes.
