Electrical Shift Technician – Pharmaceutical Site

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Electrical Shift Technician to join the critical utilities hard‑services team at a leading multinational pharmaceutical site in Dublin West. The role is permanent, day‑shift and focuses on ensuring continuous operation of all utilities equipment throughout the shift.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor site critical utilities systems, responding to alarms and deviations promptly.
• Perform first‑line and scheduled maintenance on electrical and mechanical utilities equipment.
• Coordinate with subcontractors during planned service maintenance and review work permits as area owner.
• Complete required documentation in line with site, regulatory and corporate standards.
• Assist engineering support in updating SOPs, EWI and training operations teams.
• Investigate equipment failures, identify improvement opportunities and support reliability programmes.
• Communicate shift hand‑over information clearly to the incoming team.
• Support planned and unplanned shutdowns and maintain spare parts inventories.

Required profile

• Electrical or mechanical background with experience in utilities maintenance.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work under EHS guidelines.
• Good communication skills for interaction with shift team, subcontractors and engineering support.
• Ability to produce accurate paperwork and follow regulatory procedures.
