Electrical Technician – Permanent (Days) – Dublin

About the role

Our client, a leading organisation in the utilities sector, is looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to join their Dublin team on a permanent, days‑only basis. The role offers exposure to a wide range of industrial processes and equipment, with clear pathways for career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for service providers and manage fault investigations on utility plant equipment.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, record deviations, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Execute planned preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks on schedule.
• Develop and maintain CMMS records (Pemac), creating PMs, job plans, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with site planners to identify spare‑part requirements and optimise maintenance programmes.
• Lead decision‑making on plant operation, mentor team members, and support engineers in capital improvement projects.
• Assist with complex utility service isolations and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Craft‑qualified electrician with proven experience in a similar role.
• Experience in energy conversion and distribution (highly desirable).
• Strong analytical mindset; Six Sigma/Lean methodology experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.

Required skills

• HV and LV distribution knowledge.
• Familiarity with electrical generation turbines, diesel generators, boilers, fuel‑oil storage/distribution, and industrial gas installations.
• Proficiency with CMMS (Pemac) for maintenance planning.
• Six Sigma/Lean methodologies.
