Emergency Practitioner (GP) – Part‑time, Permanent

About the role
This permanent, part‑time position (minimum 21 hours per week) is based in the modern Emergency Department at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. It combines emergency medicine and primary care expertise to deliver high‑quality care to a diverse patient population across the Highlands.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a senior decision‑maker within the Emergency Department, assessing and managing acute presentations.
- Provide decision support and advice to Unscheduled Care Practitioners in out‑of‑hours primary care.
- Participate in day, back, night and weekend shifts, with out‑of‑hours commitments recognised in remuneration.
- Contribute to teaching, rota planning and departmental development activities.
Required profile
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) for General Practitioners.
- Eligibility for inclusion on the General Practice Primary Care performers list.
- Applicants may be within six months of completing training.
- Prior experience in Emergency Medicine and completion of recognised resuscitation courses.
