Employee Relations & HR Compliance Specialist

About the role

Stripe is looking for an Employee Relations & HR Compliance Specialist to join its growing Employee Relations and HR Compliance team. The role will support partners across EMEA and APAC, balancing empathy with regulatory compliance to help managers and employees navigate complex workplace situations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Employee Relations Partners to address employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances confidentially.
• Conduct thorough investigations of complaints and recommend fair resolutions aligned with company policies.
• Lead the administration of investigation, grievance, and disciplinary processes across EMEA.
• Support HR Compliance Partners in implementing policies that meet local employment laws in EMEA and APAC.
• Assist with compliance audits, identify risks, and propose corrective actions.
• Stay up‑to‑date on regional employment law changes and ensure Stripe’s practices remain compliant.
• Develop and deliver training sessions on employee relations and compliance topics.
• Create and maintain documentation, tools, and resources for internal teams.

Required profile

• Solid HR background with experience in employee relations and compliance.
• Strong investigative and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Familiarity with employment legislation across EMEA and APAC jurisdictions.
• Ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.

Required skills

• Knowledge of employee relations processes (investigations, grievances, disciplinary actions).
• Understanding of HR compliance frameworks and local labor laws.
• Experience designing and delivering training programs.
• Proficiency in documenting policies, procedures, and resources.
