About the role
The Maples Group is hiring a Dublin‑based Employment Associate to join its growing Employment team. The role offers exposure to a broad range of employment matters, including investigations, litigation, advisory work and corporate transactions, within an international full‑service law firm.
Key responsibilities
- Manage workplace investigations, protected disclosures, performance and disciplinary issues, exits and severances.
- Conduct litigation in the Workplace Relations Commission, Labour Court and Circuit Court, handling board, shareholder and senior executive disputes.
- Lead mediations in High Court and WRC settings.
- Support corporate transactions such as share sales, asset sales (including TUPE), vendor and buyer due diligence, and negotiation of transaction documents.
- Provide advisory services on policies, employee handbooks and contracts.
- Advise on industrial relations matters, including SEOs and industrial action.
- Assist with corporate immigration matters.
- Work on employee benefits, pensions and related advisory.
Required profile
- Qualified lawyer with solid experience in employment law.
- Ambitious, driven and collaborative with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to handle complex, high‑volume matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Commitment to diversity, inclusion and professional development.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and disciplinary processes.
- Litigation experience in WRC, Labour Court and related forums.
- Familiarity with corporate transaction processes, including TUPE and due diligence.
- Proficiency in drafting employment policies, handbooks and contracts.
- Understanding of industrial relations, immigration law and employee benefits.
