Executive Director

About the role

The Pavilion Theatre is seeking an Executive Director to lead the organisation into its next strategic phase. Reporting to the Chair and Board, the role combines artistic vision with operational and financial stewardship.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Pavilion Theatre’s Strategy 2025‑2028.
• Ensure delivery of a high‑quality, ambitious artistic programme and artist support services.
• Provide strong organisational leadership, team development and culture.
• Oversee financial management, long‑term sustainability and budgeting.
• Manage technical production, capital development and facilities.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and demonstrate public value.

Required profile

• Senior leader capable of balancing artistic ambition with governance and commercial acumen.
• Significant leadership experience within a multi‑disciplinary cultural venue.
• Strong understanding of the Irish arts funding and policy landscape.
• Proven capability in organisational leadership, stakeholder engagement and team development.
