Experiential Learning Officer

About the role

The Experiential Learning Officer will lead the delivery and management of a portfolio of experiential learning and employability programmes within the Careers and Employability Service at Maynooth University. This maternity‑cover position ensures high‑quality support for students, staff and employer partners, contributing to the university’s strategic plan (2023‑2028) and its mission to create better futures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership and oversight for experiential learning and employability offerings.
• Design, deliver and evaluate programmes, workshops and events that enhance student employability.
• Collaborate with academic staff, students, and external employers to develop relevant learning experiences.
• Maintain relationships with employer partners and coordinate placement opportunities.
• Monitor programme performance and produce reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated, flexible and dedicated individual.
• Experience working in higher education or employability services is desirable.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
