Façade 3D Designer – Glazing Systems

About the role

Our client, a leading façade specialist in the Limerick region, is expanding its technical team. The role involves creating detailed 3D models and fabrication‑ready drawings for curtain walling, glazing and related façade systems, taking designs from concept through to manufacture and site installation.

Key responsibilities

• Produce 3D models and 2D fabrication/assembly drawings for curtain walls, windows, doors, cladding, brise‑soleil and structural glazing.
• Develop designs from architectural drawings, specifications and performance requirements to manufacture‑ready output.
• Prepare general arrangement drawings, sections, junction and interface details.
• Collaborate with estimating, project management, production and site teams to ensure accuracy and buildability.
• Liaise with architects, contractors and design teams on technical queries, RFIs and coordination.
• Carry out material take‑offs and generate cutting/fabrication schedules.
• Ensure compliance with standards, CWCT performance criteria and project‑specific testing.
• Maintain drawing registers and revision control throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a 3D design role within façade, curtain walling, glazing, fenestration or a related construction‑product environment.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD/modelling software.
• Ability to interpret architectural intent and translate it into buildable systems.
